GOZDE ECE YAVAS OZTURK

Gozde Ece Yavas Ozturk, a harp and chamber music artist, serves as a harp instructor at the Dokuz Eylul University State Conservatory. Throughout her education, she studied under prominent figures such as Ceren Necipoglu, Cagatay Akyol, Christophe Truant, and Florence Sitruk. Simultaneously, she completed her Master's degree at both the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève and the Institute of Fine Arts at Anadolu University, followed by an Artistic Proficiency program.

She won first prize at the 1st International Slovenia Harp Competition, and her performance at the award ceremony was broadcast on Slovenian television. Ece, premiered the world debut of Garrett Byrnes' Meditation, dedicated to Ceren Necipoglu, and the Swiss premiere of Pierre Boulez's Sur Incises with the Ensemble 21 contemporary chamber music group in Geneva.

To date, she has performed as a soloist with the Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra, the Cukurova State Symphony Orchestra, and the Mugla Metropolitan Municipality Chamber Orchestra. Ece has participated in concerts and tours with all major orchestras in Turkey. After many years of training young harpists at Anadolu University State Conservatory, she has been a Lecturer in the Harp Art Department at Dokuz Eylul University State Conservatory since 2021. A passionate chamber musician, Ece has focused extensively on the performance of contemporary music. She is also a committee member of Turkey's first harp festival, the Ceren Necipoglu Istanbul International Harp Festival.
